Stuck in a Muck

By January 1, 2013Uncategorized

So I am starting my new blog in a bit of a pickle.  I have been traveling with a pregnant wife, a fussy and tired one year old and seven year old child who’s competence rivals the one year old’s at times.  The up side?… well it gets worse before it gets better.

We have been traveling since 10:30 this morning, its 7:45p now, and i still have about 3 more hours of traveling to go which wouldn’t be so bad if we actually had a flight to get on.  We missed our connection in Dallas and are now on standby…all of us.  Not fun.  NOT. EVEN. A LITTLE. BIT.  We are all tired and hungry and ready to be home in our own beds.

So what IS the upside?  Well, it’s that my new site is almost up.  Yes, in the middle of all of this, i am thinking about photography and new projects coming up in this new year.  Its pretty exciting.  I am working this Christmas, first on getting home but a close second is having a new site up for the new year.

A little over a year ago I sat down with a consultant and had a little heart to heart.  She said i was actually about a year out from being a real photographer.  She was right.  I didn’t have enough work to show that I was a real photographer with a vision and a style that was all my own.  There was too much guess work when looking at my port. Well I believe there has been a break through.

I have never felt better about the work that i am producing and i felt like it was time for an update to the brand that reflected that.  So, new, is the direction i went.  New site, new logo, new blog.

I hope you guys will find all the new stuff appealing as I’ll be adding and changing stuff periodically.  I have added several new galleries of which include my retouching and fashion work.  Both are new categories for me but i am hoping to show some versatility in my skill sets.  Some include older images that have been revamped for your viewing pleasure and others that have completely new work in them.  Hopefully all show that I am a serious artist that can deliver quality at whatever i put my hands to.  I believe it but am curious to see what you think. Let me know.
